Allow me to entertain you indefinitely
Small humble brag here, but I’m in an art show with friends!
I got invited to participate in the inaugural (A)rt to (Z)ine show which brings together eight artists to showcase their artworks and a new zine developed in conjunction with the art. The show opens on July 1st, and if you can’t make it, I’ll share photos later.
Because the show is local, most of you won’t be able to catch it, but if you happen to be in or near Long Beach over the next couple of months, stop in at Page Against the Machine to peruse the art and maybe pick up a book about social issues or political dissent. Those are always fun.
Do I Have Your Infinite Attention?
If you’ve ever watched a YouTube video, and then another video after because you were encouraged to click from the person you watched, and then another after that YouTube recommended CONGRATULATIONS!
You just entered a content loop, and it’s a technique you should consider using with your content because the goal is to keep our viewers engaged long enough to turn them into buyers and collectors.
But it’s not simply placing links at the end of posts or telling people to “Click the link in my bio.” That only works on a small percentage of individuals. To keep people’s attention, you need a strategy.
(See what I did there?)
Art Snack: Nick Grindrod
I don’t know much about British artist Nick Grindrod, but all I need to know is these beautiful, organic shapes make me happy. Enjoy the layers.
Small Bites
If you haven’t noticed, my template for these newsletters has been consistent for a while now. That’s because people don’t read, they scan, and it’s why you might rethink how you frame your writing.
This is definitely different from the typical exit-through-the-gift-shop experience.
You don’t need to know who Sahil Bloom is to understand that this might be the most genius tweet thread ever, like a one-man tweet-wiki.
If you don’t believe me when I say any hot trend can become a cash opportunity for illustrators and designers, search Etsy for Vanderpump Rules.
One of my blessings (and possibly curse) is that when I stumble upon a successful art business, I immediately see how others could capitalize on the idea. Can you see what I see with Disenio?

Between squirrels faking a crime scene, orcas attacking boats, and bears not giving a fuck about your photographic moment, I think the animals will get to us long before the AI Robots.
